The recipient of more than 20 national and international awards, the barn at Walnut Hill is an adaptive restoration project. The Poole family who partnered with a team applied a method known as the ?The Seven Rs?: resuse, recondition, return, resell, reclaim, recycle; and only as a last resort, remove. As a result, the team are present day known as environmental leaders ? people who contribute with the Native American perspective of ?providing for the needs of the current generation without sacrificing the needs of future generations?.
