Abstract:
McLintock: Cattle baron George Washington McLintock fights with his estranged wife who wants nothing from him except a divorce. His daughter and the local political land-grabbers are fighting with McLintock as well. Along with taming the West, McLintock finally "tames" everyone who has been fighting with him.

Unforgiven: The town of Big Whisky people try to lead a quiet life. Sheriff 'Little Bill' keeps heavy-handed order. Then a couple of cowboys cut up a whore. Unsatisfied with Bill's justice, the prostitutes put a bounty on the cowboys. The bounty attracts a young gun billing himself as 'The Schofield Kid, ' and aging killer William Munny. Munny is a widower trying to raise his two young children. Farm life is hard and Munny is no good at it. He calls on his old partner Ned, saddles his nag, and rides off to kill one more time.

Once upon a time in the West: "Sergio Leone's monumental picture, here in its original form, ranks among his most admired achievements. In the dying days of the Old West, a struggle to control water in a dusty desert town embroils three hard-bitten gunmen in an epic clash of greed, honor and revenge. Henry Fonda stars in his most sinister role as Frank, a hired killer who ruthlessly slays an entire family. Jason Robards plays Cheyenne, an infamous bandit framed for the slaughter. And Charles Bronson is The Man, a mysterious loner determined to exact vengeance for a grudge he refuses to divulge. An influence on countless directors, Leone's masterpiece is considered among the greatest Westerns ever."--Container.

True grit: Following the murder of her father by hired hand Tom Chaney, 14-year-old farm girl Mattie Ross sets out to capture the killer. To aid her, she hires the toughest U.S. marshal she can find, a man with "true grit," Reuben J. "Rooster" Cogburn. Mattie insists on accompanying Cogburn, whose drinking, sloth, and generally reprobate character do not augment her faith in him. Against his wishes, she joins him in his trek into the Indian Nations in search of Chaney. They are joined by Texas Ranger LaBoeuf, who wants Chaney for his own purposes. The unlikely trio find danger and surprises on the journey, and each has his or her "grit" tested.
